This was my first Live on Tik tock. If you watch closely, at one point my wife came in the studio to talk to me. We carried in a conversation l, and I never stopped playing. LOL!! 🤣

The Gibson Les Paul is my favorite style of guitar. here are a few that are in my collection, some Gibson, Epiphone, and others. Can you tell a difference in the tone. Same settings on all, only the volume has been normalized.

What about Django Reinhardt?? Or known every single year for being the number one guitar player in metal which is none other than Kirk Hammett!!
Love Django Reinhardt, but he wasn't one of my influences, neither was Kirk Hammett. But both certainly deserve to be on someone's top ten list.
Roy Clark got to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time I'm glad you mentioned him in your top 10!!!
Yeah, I was very young when I saw Roy play for the first time. When I saw him, I knew I wanted to play the guitar.
My house contractor gave me two old guitars, for free. He brought 2 dusty guitars up my front steps and gave them to me. One of them was a 2009 Dean MLX. It needs a new guitar jack, had only 4 strings. But it has good bones and looks pretty nice. I took it over to my guitar tech and he literally brightened up when he saw the Dean MLX. He likes them. He's going to install a guitar jack, 6 new strings, and a brand new set-up. The sweet part is that my guitar tech even knows the Dean MLX creator: Dean Zelinsky. Your video gives me hope that it will play nicely. Even beat up, before I researched it, I noticed that the Dean MLX had great sustain. Mine has Schaller tuners so I hope it will be a keeper. Thanks.
Grover tuners; not Schallers.
Happy 60th birthday in a couple of weeks :)
Needs a slide bro!
Absolutely agree. I broke mine, so I played it without one just to show it could be done. Thanks for watching.
Why the annoying music in the background?
Adds color. Thanks for watching. :)
Decent. Correction. VERY decent.
Hell yeah brother
Do you have tabs for this ?
WTH???
I have no idea what happened to this video. LOL!!
In a strange twist, Les Paul & Mary Ford recorded songs for the Robert Hall Clothing chain. During the 50's, The Robert Hall Co. rented space and made clothing inside The Gretsch Building! ua-cam.com/video/RfLfl_HtG8U/v-deo.html
I hear the differences, but its all down to pickups really, that 79 though
Chibby sounds good
What a fantastic video have a wonderful day also i have a stomach ache ❤😢
My LP is one serial number away from Pearly Gates. The tops even book match.
The Reverend.
Chords and tutorial please;i would like to play this pretty bad
👏👏
Here's Jerry playing Althea on Tiger in 1981 ua-cam.com/video/AJvBK5GUt8w/v-deo.htmlsi=lXmzna_N3kR1a_ok&t=48
Just a friendly correction on the song you named. It’s pronounced Al-thea, & Not “Ali-thea.” Great tune! I recommend giving it a listen too (~};)
Yeah, that was a Freudian slip on my part. I have a niece named Alethea. LOL! 🤣
It also has more.mellow pick ups because that was the sound of that guitar back then... i think it sounds more lush and mellow but still clear.
The Guess Who was simply Randy Bachman putting “Guess” between The Who. The chords for You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ yet was simply Randy Bachman playing the chords from Won’t Get Fooled Again backwards. Won’t Get Fooled Again was basically Pete sitting down and playing a drum-kit pretending he was Levon Helm. 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🇨🇦
And both of those just stole the progression from Louis, Louis or the other 90% using I-IV-V since forever.... the Move flipped it again with Do Ya? rock 101. 🎵
@@cuda426hemi Thanks for telling me that bullshit.
@@nkmcfrln No problem son, now pay up.
These guitars are kind of like boobs ! Sometimes you know there fake , but ya just can't keep ur hands off em !!!
Nice. Is it true it's hard to keep it in tune?
It's not too bad, but it's not one of my daily players.
Is this a Chibson, or did you fork out $8K for a real one? Didn't have time to listen to the whole video. Thanks
No, it was a real Epi. Nice guitar. I got it from a Guitar Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
I do a sound comparison between a Chbson and a Gibson. You can see that video here... ua-cam.com/video/P-tatOFmw0k/v-deo.html&lc=UgwV38OxiD6GUvjrG5h4AaABAg&ab_channel=GreggAllenRobison
Jazz? You can’t be serious
😆

Great video! Love learning about this stuff
Get a set of Bryan Williams pickups and put them in the chibson and it will blow any gibson out of the water . Wire it 50s style and you'll never care for your gibson again.
Bought 3 chibsons last 2 months and i love each one ive owned 2 gibson les paul standards they are not here anymore with these things around they never will be such fantastic guitars man you can never tell the difference between us and ch made cnc machines are all the same and as long as the operator has done it before there golden so those who want to get up in flames go home and play your broken neck les paul ill happily have my sturdy neck les paul i love gibson dont get me wrong but i cant stand gibson customers lol
If you were to load that Chibson Ace with DiMarzio Super Distortion humbuckers it would be a flame thrower. Honestly, you got a pretty good deal on that Chibson. Feel lucky I guess. I thought it sounded great.
Thank you! I do like it a lot.
With that being said,it doesnt sound horrible, cosidering.
There is nothing wrong with chibsons the electronics are the weak spot everything else is cnc kind of hard for a cnc machine to do a “lesser” job
Agreed.
It sounds shit.
You mean Chit
Amazing
Thanks for watching!
Did you change out the pickups ? The EA 250 came with Maxon staple pickups. if you did trade those out, the replacements sound excellent.
The guitar actually came with no pickups. It was a mess when I got it. Thanks for watching!
Ótimo! Ficou igual o original! Parabéns 🎸👍👍
I always enjoyed their music.
came across one today $400, but the action is horrendous! straight neck, but looks like it's collapsing at the neck joint area. I could shim the hellout of it, I guess. but 400 is hard to give.
It's bridge than bridge middle than neck middle
Amazing
I have one of these as well. Pretty cool guitars. How did you mount the P-90's?
Just screwed them in. I had to raise them a bit because the pole pieces were too low.
@@famousguitars Huh, yours must be different than mine. Nothing to screw into unless I glue in some wood or something. cheers-
@@willywillhite361 I have the exact same model, I bought it in 94, it has P90s fitted apparently swapped in late 70s...seems they drilled new holes for the retaining screws and filled the old ones for the original p/ups.
Love this old guitar
𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐦 😳
👍
Do you know if I can record midi in a DAW with it?
Yes.
..... surely a dry signal would be more useful? 🤔
😍😍😍
what ?
UA-cam did something to it. 😡
I think so. I'm going to try to fix it.
THANKS!
Let's get a guitar lesson video for this!
Fire bro 🔥🔥🔥
